30 Day Self Love Challenge!


I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the participants in the 30 Day Self Love Challenge I held in May! This group of amazing ladies included those from across all spectrums of life. Moms, grandmothers, daughters, older women, millennials, different races and backgrounds. The one thing we all had in common was the need for more self love in our lives. We had some vibrant conversations during live Zoom calls and engaging dialogue on Facebook as well.


The daily activities included things like go out in nature, cook a healthy meal, dance, buying yourself flowers, decluttering and preparing your very own personal space to have quiet time, to simple things like writing down kind statements about your body. I guess I should say things that SHOULD be simple, but many of us don’t always feel positive about how we look physically. Other activities were a bit more challenging like having a hard conversation with someone you have been putting off, finding and making an appointment with a therapist if you feel you need one and developing some budgeting goals to get back on track financially.


I not only facilitated but I participated and personally found the activities to be very beneficial. It put new things on my radar and gave me some lightbulb moments about where I am and where I need to be in the area of self love. I won’t say that I completed every activity each day, some I didn’t get to do at all, some I did them later. As I told the others, the point is to get started, do your best and don’t beat up on yourself for not being perfect.


The post activity surveys showed that others who joined had a good experience and benefited from the activities as I did, so mission accomplished. I hope everyone enjoys and has been using their daily affirmation cards and has that certificate posted in your new reading nook :)


Stay tuned for our next challenge activity. We are also in the planning stages of our very first Self Love retreat, where we’ll take it to another level!
